This is just a great book, I have kept and bred Honduran Milks in the past and the book has revitalized my interest in the species and I now have "the bug" again to get back in the game. Since I was young I loved the basic tangerine dreams, but always loved the coloration and variation of Albino, Hypomelanistic, Anerytheristic Ghost and Snow Hondurans but now I have a better understanding of the history surrounding the animals I was working with and understand some of the genetics behind the morphs. The book starts out with the very basics important for any king snake / Milk snake keeper but is also a great read for the enthusiast. It is highly recommended for those who really want to know more about these animals than can be found on the internet! Thank you Doug and Jimmy for compiling the information into such a great book! Now take a break from your computer, sit down and read the actual book.

I've been keeping and breeding snakes for over 18 years now and have worked with Honduran milksnakes for at least the last 10 years. It's been amazing how far they have come along in the last 10 years. This book provides a great background on the history of Hondurans and how selective breedings have advanced new morphs of this beautiful species specifically over the last couple decades. The photos in this book are amazing and capture the true diversity of these animals. An absolute MUST have for anyone that keeps or has any interest in Hondurans!

Not only did this book answer numerous questions I had regarding the natural history of the species itself, it also introduced me to a number of subspecies and morphs I had no idea even existed in herpetoculture. This is a must have book in any serious herpers collection who's interested in expanding their knowledge and especially if they plan to keep one of the beautiful species known as the Honduran Milksnake.

About the Author
Bert Swain attended American University on scholarship and graduated in 1979 with a Bachelor s Degree in Accounting. He later returned and earned a Master s Degree in Taxation, in 1987. After graduation in 1979, Mr. Swain was immediately employed by a national accounting firm, where he gained broad experience in audits of many types of organizations. In 1983, Mr. Swain joined Kamerow, Weintraub & Swain, LLP, to manage the audit and accounting segment of the practice that now encompasses numerous clients in various industries such as professional services, retail, not-for-profit, and others. He is also the Director of Quality Control with regard to the firm s accounting and audit practice. Mr. Swain is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (former Council member), the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Practicing Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (GWSCPA), where he has served as a member of the Board of Governors and was President for the 1995-96 fiscal year.
